Cynthia & Steve

(In our best pirate voices) “Oooo arrggghhhh, a mighty fine day was ‘ad with these two scallywags and their shipmate chums.”

Thornbury Castle provided a beautiful and quintessentially English backdrop for this wonderful couple and their perfect day.

Cynthia’s family flew all the way from Zimbabwe bringing their family heritage and African tradition with them; so song, dance and prayer-filled the day. Combined with the usual varying British humour, the largest amount smiles and so much laughter and it was a delight to see the English and African cultures colliding in only the best way with tributes being paid to both throughout the day.

From puzzle boxes and rings that needed to be assembled during the ceremony to gifts of cows, pirates and African dance. Never before have we met a bride and groom who knew in so much detail ‘exactly’ what they wanted from their day and how the photos and video should capture that and we must admit this was a real treat for us.

It was our very first fancy dress reception and the bride and groom’s pirate costumes were so good!
Cynthia and Steve’s day was ended by a firework show designed by the groom himself set to the track ‘Perfect Enemy’ – by Pythia before they danced into the night.

Thank you for choosing us to capture your day, we all had the best time.
